I've gone a bit crazy with the dahlias this fall, but they are just so lovely! I picked two buckets full of them within just a few days, so naturally, I had to make a few photos.

Yup, another dahlia. I love the ones with the longer, shaggy petals.

I recently did some product work, and it's gotten me back into the flat lay frame of mind. Expect more of those, I think.

I don't get to Longwood Gardens nearly as often as I'd like... But, I managed to squeeze in a trip to see all of the pumpkins this fall. Aren't they just lovely?

What's better than dahlias? Drying, dead dahlias with black pumpkins.

I really am obsessed with these black pumpkins. Ok, so they are technically dark green, but I like to think they are black.

I've been falling a bit behind on my monthly self portraits lately... I wanted to incorporate some fall into my image this time, so I went with a double exposure (in PS) with some of my dahlias.

Had to get a shot of this girl picking flowers at the farm... It was a hot, sunny morning, and she was wearing a black hoodie and didn't seem to be phased by the warm weather. I love the contrast of her clothing with the soft pink dahlias.

I let this dahlia sit on the table overnight (after snipping the top off of the stem for another photo)... but, I loved the way the petals unfurled a bit. And, of course, the DGII is one of my favorite for macro shots of flowers.

Once a food photographer, always a food photographer... My kids were not impressed when I insisted they save the pumpkin donut for a photo.

We planned a trip to OCNJ a few weekends ago, and it happened to be a weekend where a Nor'easter was rolling through. But, we made the most of the tiny bit of sunshine we got on Friday evening.

I usually look for Converse when I'm out walking with the camera... But, these Vans caught my eye. They are so classic!

On Saturday afternoon, I stumbled on two separate weddings on the beach. It was certainly a windy afternoon (aforementioned Nor'easter on the way and all), and I just loved the dresses blowing in the wind.

I forgot to take my tripod, so I shot this through the railing of our hotel balcony with the camera propped on a plastic chair. You can see the way the wind was whipping the flags around.
