I love frosty flowers... These poor Mexican sunflowers didn't last long beyond this frosty morning. That's just how it goes. But, I was excited to get a few shots of them in all their frost-covered glory.

These mums in my garden always have the most interesting colors as they dry out and fade... They caught my eye on a misty morning when the petals were covered in the tiniest droplets of water.

I love to grab shots of the leaves on the sidewalk in the fall... On this particular part of the path, I loved the way the light was hitting the leaves and creating shadows that almost made them look like they had perfect origami folds.

I love to play with double exposures on a windy day to try to catch the texture and movement of the wind blowing the tall grass. Sometimes it works, and in this case, I'm not sure it was what I was going for.

Every year I take off my costume for a day for Halloween... I've been telling my kids that for years. At first they didn't get it... Then they would look at me with wide eyes... "Maybe she really IS a witch!" Now they just roll their eyes.

I don't get out the Omni filters too often. I find them a bit unpredictable and get frustrated with them. But, self portraits are the perfect time to play around.

For some reason, my tree farm photos almost always end up converted to black and white. I should really go when it's not bright and sunny in the middle of the afternoon, but that's just not how it works out.

I just love that tall tree on the left that stands out above the others. I like to think it's a really old and wise Christmas tree that has lasted beyond its years.
