How to explain... In our house, we have a "gnome in the home" instead of an elf, because those elves are super creepy. But this year, our gnome recruited my daughter's stuffed otter to be his jolly helper. So, naturally, the otter got dressed up as a gnome with a beard and hat (except the dog ate the otter's gnome hat). So, here they are attempting to do yoga.

Also, fun tip... You can buy wine bottle sweaters to fit your stuffed otter... You know, if the otter is in need of festive attire.

Another slightly playful image from my daily images leading up to Christmas. Who doesn't love Snoopy?

Macro images of the Christmas tree are some of my favorites this time of year.

Who can resist an ornament selfie on the tree?

Sometimes, I think focus can be a bit overrated.

But, for those who crave focus... Here you go.

I am partial to double exposures... But, this one is a single. I was at Longwood Gardens, shooting through one Christmas tree to capture the lights out on the lake.

The tunnel of lights is always one of my favorites at Longwood Gardens... That red hat in the middle caught my eye.

I am forever entertained by pictures of people taking pictures (in this instance, video) with their phones.

One more of the light tunnel... I loved that festive hat and then golden lights!

I love starbursts from the sun, and I was excited to catch this tiny burst at sunset.

I didn't have a tripod with me, so I had to hand-hold this long-ish exposure. I found myself converting to black and white a lot this holiday season.

This fountains in this garden are turned off for the winter, but I thought it would be fun to use the Omni reflector to create a bit of a fountain with the lights.

We had an early snow day in December... And, I enjoyed staying inside where it was warm and cozy. But, I tried to capture the weather from my perspective.
