I'm about two weeks behind on photos here... Summer has started, school is done for the year, and I've completely lost any sense of routine. We're settling in at the beach for a week, so I am finally sitting down to post some photos. There's lots of baseball and florals... and one sneak peak of some fabulous artwork I spotted on the street at the beach.

Safe!

I'm a sucker for some baseball dust kicking up in the evening sunlight. And, when your kid slides into home, you just have to snap the photo, right? Right.

There's just something about baseball in black and white. I've been shooting more Canon lenses lately, too.

I think I enjoy shots of the team watching from the fence more than the action of the game.

Evening games have the best patches of sunlight this time of year. Those long shadows get me every time.

Morning light and the water droplets from watering the garden are always such a lovely combination.

The salvia filled in beautifully this year... I always love that shade of purple in the early summer.

I love the texture of these leaves... and I rarely pass up the chance to play around with multiple exposures.

This is the first year that I've had any considerably blooms on the lupine in my yard. It felt photo worthy.

Call me crazy, but I generally prefer to photograph the back of flowers instead of the front.

This image and the next one are obviously very similar... Shot on the patio in the backyard. The flowers on the chives caught my eye since they are a bit past their prime.

Of course, I do really like how the slight change in perspective changes the feel of the image. I think I prefer this one.

The planters on the front porch are starting to fill in... and how cute is this vine? It looks like black eyed Susans, but it's not.

Oh, the hope and optimism of the delicate little flowers on the tomato vines. I adore the fuzzy little hairs.

I think I may be saving the best for last here. I spotted this mural in OCNJ this week, and I'm mildly obsessed. It's by artist Todd DiCiurcio (@odddc on IG). There may be more photos to come, but I had to snap a shot of these flowers growing out from under the fence.
